Minneapolis, Minnesota
Theodore Wirth Park consists of miles of trails, a lake, and several historically significant and well-used buildings. Collaborative Design Group was tasked with the restoration of its 1930s deco style pavilion and renovation of the kitchen and restrooms. The Minneapolis Parks Board uses the kitchen as a teaching facility in conjunction with their community/teaching gardens. Care was taken to stay true to the historic character of the building, while at the same time creating a facility that is modern and efficient for both teaching and catering.
