The expansion and renovation of the St. Paul Fire Station No. 19 began with a study to understand space needs and facility shortcomings. The result indicated that a renovation and addition were necessary to modernize the facility and meet the Station’s expanding needs. CDG designed the addition and renovation of the Station, which allows the Department to double their capacity of firefighters. The project adds an additional bay to the south side of the Station, improves the interior fitness and kitchen areas, and adds new firefighter dorms. The expansion allows for the relocation of St. Paul’s Ladder 10 into the facility, resulting in an increase in response times and coverage.
