Collaborative Design Group was tasked with designing a new Medical Office Building on the Edina campus and upgrading the existing ramp to match the aesthetic of the new building and improve the parking capacity and accessibility of the site, which hosts 2,800 patients and 70-90 deliveries per day. The entire south half of the parking ramp was demolished and replaced with a five-level cast in place, post-tensioned concrete structure. The first two levels of the remaining northern portion of the ramp were demolished and replaced, and an additional two levels added to the top. The result of the project is an almost entirely new parking structure with the capacity for 1300 cars. The ramp coexists with the new office building and existing medical campus, providing ample parking, as well as a safe, accessible environment for patients and staff.
