North St. Paul, Minnesota

The design of the new municipal building for the City of North St. Paul was a result of a detailed existing facilities analysis, space needs study, and site selection study prepared to assist the City in determining the best course of action for their municipal renovation and expansion needs. It was determined that the remodel and expansion of the existing city hall was not practical and that new construction of a combined City Hall and Police and Fire Stations was the most efficient and cost-effective plan to meet present and future needs.

The new municipal building combines city council chambers, city offices, the police department and a police garage, and space for the fire department, including 5 apparatus bays. The 27,000 square foot facility is located in the historic downtown, and the building’s design responds to the city’s desire for a traditional architectural theme.
