Apple Valley, Minnesota
The primary Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Station is located north of 155th Street and includes northbound and southbound stations, connected by a pedestrian skyway over Cedar Avenue. Its sweeping roof, evocative of the landform of the City, and the exuberant skyway create a memorable landmark in this busy commercial area. A parking ramp and surface parking lot located on the east side of Cedar Avenue provide 750 parking stalls. Additional stations located at 147th Street and 140th Street include similar, smaller component stations connected by pedestrian skyways. CDG collaborated with SRF and worked in conjunction with the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, the City of Apple Valley, Dakota County, the Metropolitan Council, Metro Transit, and the Dakota County Regional Rail Authority on this complex project.
